Lighting the Way: Opportunity Bank of Montana Celebrates Second Year Sponsoring the Law Enforcement Torch Run
May 22, 2025
At Opportunity Bank of Montana, community is at the heart of
everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to celebrate a second year of
sponsoring the Special
Olympics Montana Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Each year, the “Flame of Hope” is carried across Montana,
raising awareness for Special Olympics of Montana programs that help athletes
compete, grow, and thrive. This year, our Opportunity Bank branches across the
state showed their support in meaningful and memorable ways:
Livingston Branch: Our team handed out snacks and
refreshments to participants as they made their way down Main Street, cheering
them on every step of the way.

Glasgow Branch: We fired up the grill and hosted a
community BBQ to celebrate the athletes and bring people together.
“Watching the athletes' excitement as they pass the torch is
truly a joy. Our team loves joining local law enforcement to celebrate and
support our area's Special Olympics athletes,” said Jessica Pehlke, Area Retail
Manager. “Glasgow's community spirit
really shines during events like this and hosting the BBQ gave us a wonderful
opportunity to support these incredible athletes.”

Great Falls Branch: We welcomed the Torch Run with a
community celebration in front of our branch, honoring the athletes and their
incredible spirit.

Billings 27th Branch: The final leg of the
Torch Run stopped by the branch for a celebration, as 75 runners and a dozen
escort vehicles brought the flame home ahead of the State Summer Games.

We’re honored to stand alongside our communities and support
the athletes of the Special Olympics of Montana. Thank you to the athletes, law
enforcement officers, volunteers, and community members who made this year’s
event a success.
