Opportunity Bank Branches Unite for Special Olympics Montana Torch Run
May 27, 2026
Across Montana, the Special Olympics of Montana Law
Enforcement Torch Run brings communities together in support of local athletes,
and Opportunity Bank of Montana again joined as a sponsor of the effort for the
third-consecutive year.
Each year, the “Flame of Hope” travels across Montana
ahead of the State Summer Games, raising awareness and support for Special
Olympics of Montana programs that empower athletes to compete, grow, and
thrive. Opportunity Bank branches across the state showed their support in
meaningful, community-centered ways, bringing people together to celebrate the
athletes during their local Torch Run legs:
Glasgow: Staff kicked things off with a
community BBQ, welcoming runners and residents to gather and celebrate one of
the Torch Run’s early stops.

Sheridan: A morning cheering station and water
stop gave participants an energizing boost as they passed through. Sheridan
marked a new Torch Run leg for 2026.

Helena: A midday BBQ at the Conference Center
parking lot on Vandelay Ave. brought together law enforcement, runners, and
community members in a shared show of support.
Great Falls: Staff hosted an afternoon BBQ at
the branch, creating a welcoming space for the community to connect and rally
behind the Torch Run.

Livingston: A cheering table outside the
branch offered snacks, water, and encouragement as the torch made its way
through town.
Missoula: Branch staff continued that support
with a local cheering station. Missoula was also a new Torch Run leg this year.

Billings: Employees and community members
gathered for a final cheering station at our 27th Street Branch as
the Torch Run completed its last leg to City Hall ahead of the Opening
Ceremonies ahead of the State Summer Games on May 13.

Thank you to the athletes, law enforcement officers,
volunteers, and community members who made this year’s Law Enforcement Torch
Run a success.
