Volunteer Spotlight: Opportunity Bank Celebrates Jenica Held, 2025 20 Under 40 Honoree
September 15, 2025
Opportunity Bank of Montana is proud to celebrate Jenica
Held, Retail Branch Manager of our Butte location, for being named one of the
Montana Standard and Butte Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 20 Under 40 honorees.
This recognition highlights young professionals who are making a meaningful
impact in their careers and communities, and Jenica exemplifies that spirit in
every way.
Each year, the 20 Under 40 award honors individuals who
demonstrate exceptional leadership in business, philanthropy, and civic
engagement. Jenica and her fellow honorees will be recognized at the Butte
Chamber Dinner on September 18 at the Butte Civic Center, where their
contributions to the community will be celebrated among peers, business
leaders, and supporters.
Leading with Heart in Butte
Jenica is currently completing her third year on the
Butte-Silver Bow County Fair Board, where she has served as Treasurer for the
past two years. Her leadership and dedication have helped bring the fair to
life in a city without a permanent fairground. “We build our fair from the
ground up every year,” Jenica explains. “That’s where having a passion for what
you’re volunteering for really makes a difference.”
In addition to her work with the Fair Board, Jenica
volunteers with United Way, contributing to events like Stone Soup and Dress a
Child. These initiatives support families in need and foster team-building
among colleagues. “Helping to dress kiddos for the school year and meal
prepping for the less fortunate is eye-opening,” she says. “It helps put life
in perspective.”
Jenica’s passion for community involvement is deeply rooted
in her upbringing in Butte. “I was raised here, and now as a parent, I see the
importance of creating meaningful, family-friendly events that bring people
together,” she shares. “I want to help build experiences that engage young
minds and strengthen the bonds within our community.”
She describes herself as a proud mom, a passionate community
advocate, and someone who leads with heart. “Whether it’s through my work,
volunteering, or everyday interactions, I’m all about making meaningful
connections, cheering people on, and helping
Butte shine a little brighter
every day.”
With 16 years of experience in banking, she credits
Opportunity Bank’s culture of support for empowering her to grow both
personally and professionally. “I’ve found a place that not only values
community involvement and actively encourages it, so lean into it. Fi
nd what
you’re passionate about and let it guide your journey.”
Her recognition as one of Butte’s “20 Under 40” is a
testament to her unwavering commitment to the community.
“Across Montana, it’s known that Butte is ‘Butte Tough,’ but
more importantly, Butte cares. The generosity and authenticity of our residents
make this town my forever home,” she said.
